Cold Sores - What Are They?
May 13th, 2008 by Admin
Cold sores are small blisters that are caused by the herpes virus. They usually occur on the mouth and lips, although some people will get cold sores on their nose also. These blisters are very painful, they are filled with fluid and then scab over while they are healing. Although the body’s immune system can usually eliminate viruses such as head colds and other ailments that we may experience, the cold sore virus cannot be eliminated by the body so they come back over and over again. The occurrence of cold sores vary from person to person.
